Luis Marquez

Luis Marquez has spent over two decades working in the public/private sectors and non-profits with Federal, State, Local governments, and community organizations. Nine years were spent working for the California State Senate and Assembly. Luis has exceptional advocacy and legislative experience ranging from transportation, infrastructure, water, energy, environmental to economic development and educational issues. Throughout his career, Luis has exemplified strong leadership on complex issues and has achieved concrete solutions.

His experience working on State and Local government issues give Luis the knowledge to successfully navigate and tackle today’s tough problems. Along with his extensive professional career, Luis Marquez was elected and had the honor of serving as Mayor and Councilmember on the Downey City Council from December2008to December 2016. He was recognized for his ability to make government deliver for the needs of the people it serves. The City of Downey continues to stand out as one of the most economically vibrant cities in the State of California.
