Dorian Almaraz

Dorian is a state government affairs professional with nearly a decade of experience working inCalifornia politics. Dorian servedas a Legislative Aide and Interim Legislative Director in the State Senate for 3 years prior tomoving over to the State Assembly. While in the State Assembly, Dorian was the Senior Legislative Aide to Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez, as well as a Consultant forthe California Latino Legislative Caucus. He then becamethe Capitol Director for Assemblywoman Wendy Carrillo, in which he managed the entire operations of the Assemblywoman’s Capitol office. Dorian joined the Prime Strategies Team in January 2020, focusing onlegislative affairs for numerous clients. Hehas had the pleasure to work onlegislation onmyriad policy and fiscal issues, including energy, transportation, labor, local government, health, education, public safety, water, natural resources, and theStateBudget. During his time in the Capitol, Dorian also served for two years as Co-Chair ofthe California Latino Capitol Association Foundation and is currently a Board Member of the Cultural Advisory Council for the California State Fair and Exposition. Dorian holdsa Bachelor’s Degree in psychology from Whittier College.
